CourseAvenue CEO to Lead Session at the 2008 Chicago e-Learning & Technology Showcase
Warrenville, IL - Monday, July 14, 2008
CourseAvenue is pleased to announce their participation in this year's Chicago e-Learning & Technology Showcase. In addition to three keynote sessions throughout the day, 16 individual sessions will be offered on topics including e-Learning Development Tools, Mobile & Social Applications, Program Management and e-Learning Platform uses. CourseAvenue's CEO, Joe Gorup, will lead one session, discussing Collaborative Development and Global Syndication of e-Learning. This sold-out event will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, and is being hosted by the Chicago Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (www.cispi.com) and the Chicago Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (www.stc-chicago.org).
Mr. Gorup's discussion will include a case study on one of Cisco's training partners, Ascolta. When Ascolta needed to build a customizable e-Learning course to train end users on Cisco's TelePresence system, they turned to CourseAvenue. With CourseAvenue's hybrid capabilities, they built a standards compliant e-Learning course that allows their customers to personalize certain aspects of the course. Building the course on a collaborative, online platform allowed members of the development team to work together at the same time, speeding up course completion. Gorup will explain the importance of collaboration in the course development process and how CourseAvenue's capabilities allow Ascolta to distribute custom e-Learning courses to their global clients.
