Is your agency or department looking for a better way to capture and transform the knowledge of your subject matter experts (SMEs) into accessible and compelling eLearning courseware?

The eLearning Authoring Process is Broken!

  • Hours of meetings

  • Hours of meetings that typically carry on for weeks [months?] between SME’s and course developers focused on distilling down and converting the “raw content” into “educational content.”

  • Work and rework

  • Transforming dull subject matter into e-learning experiences is time consuming and expensive, especially for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with no prior instructional design knowledge.

  • Fines and penalties

  • Access is a civil right yet “overall compliance to Section 508 is well below expectations given the federal government has had over 20 years to implement programs capable of achieving and maintaining modern ICT standards. More than 75% of respondents are at or below average with respect to Section 508 compliance.”  Section508.gov

  • Complexity

  • Most eLearning authoring tools burden the author with the task of understanding Section 508/WCAGx.  The complexity of compliance means this approach is a non-starter for anyone other than seasoned programmers.

Let’s fix the process - and while we’re at it let’s make accessible eLearning the norm, instead of an afterthought.
